The first half of the third session saw Travis Head and Steve Smith put on quick runs. Head was smacking everyone, and he had the licence to go for the kill as Indian bowlers looked clueless. India took the second new ball immediately, and it brought about the fall of Steve Smith who edged to Rohit Sharma at first slip off Jasprit Bumrah.
